STEAM Studio Annual Membership Terms and Conditions

Welcome to STEAM Studio’s Annual Membership! By becoming a member, you join a vibrant community committed to discovering the next generation of tech innovators. This agreement outlines the terms and conditions of your membership. Please read carefully to understand your rights, benefits, and obligations as a member.
1. Ownership and Representation
- SNRGX Ownership: STEAM Studio is owned by SNRGX ("the Owner"), which serves as the legal representative of all programs, activities, and services offered through STEAM Studio.
- Legal Representation: SNRGX holds the rights and authority to administer, manage, and operate STEAM Studio, including the enforcement of all membership terms and conditions outlined here.
2. Intellectual Property and Co-Ownership
- Invention Co-Ownership: Inventions, innovations, and creations developed by members within STEAM Studio ("Creations") shall be co-owned by both the member(s) involved in the creation and SNRGX.
- Patent Registration: SNRGX reserves the right to register any eligible Creations for patents through appropriate intellectual property channels. SNRGX will manage and oversee the patent application process and associated legal procedures to protect intellectual property rights.
- Revenue Sharing: In cases where a co-owned invention generates revenue, SNRGX will establish a fair and transparent agreement with the creators to define revenue sharing, rights, and responsibilities regarding the commercialization of the invention.
3. Membership Overview
The STEAM Studio Annual Membership ("Membership") is valid for 12 months from the date of enrollment and offers access to a range of programs, workshops, and exclusive benefits designed to foster learning in technology and innovation. Memberships are available to individuals ages 4 and above, providing a safe, friendly, and sustainable environment that supports personal growth, teamwork, and project development.
4. Membership Benefits
- Access to weekly projects in areas such as 3D printing, app development, robotics, web development, entrepreneurship, and more.
- Hands-on experience with technologies including LEGO, Microbits, Sphero, Arduino, 3D pens, drones, and coding in AI, Python, Swift, HTML5, and more.
- Opportunities to register patents, participate in local and global competitions, and gain media exposure through our platform and events.
- Discounts: 25% off Competition Bootcamps, 25% off birthday and special occasion reservations, and discounts on third-party delivery services.
- Priority Access: Exclusive invitations to field trips, events, and volunteer opportunities, and Generation Tech Podcast guest priority.
- Additional Perks: Two "Friend Visit" passes annually, certificates of achievement, and mentorship programs for skill and project growth.
5. Membership Commitment
Members are expected to commit to attending at least one session per week, engaging with a new project each session. Membership includes up to 60 visits per year (120 hours), with additional sessions and workshops available upon request and subject to availability.
6. Fees and Payment
Membership fees are due annually, and the full payment must be completed upon registration. All membership fees are non-refundable, except in specific cases approved by STEAM Studio management. STEAM Studio reserves the right to modify membership fees with notice before renewal.
7. Cancellations and Renewals
Membership is valid for a 12-month period and will not auto-renew; members will need to re-register at the end of each term. Members may request to cancel or suspend their membership due to extenuating circumstances, subject to STEAM Studio’s approval.
8. Usage Rights and Limitations
- Memberships are personal and non-transferable. Only the registered member may use the benefits associated with their membership.
- Members must adhere to STEAM Studio's code of conduct, respecting peers, staff, and the studio environment. Violations may result in suspension or termination of membership without refund.
9. Third-Party Agreements
In the case of arrangements with third parties for services, trips, or events, STEAM Studio will make every effort to coordinate and manage these partnerships to the best of our ability. However, STEAM Studio cannot be held liable for any cancellations, modifications, or changes to third-party agreements beyond our control.
10. Instrument and Equipment Maintenance
STEAM Studio’s instruments, tools, and equipment will undergo scheduled maintenance every 4 to 6 months to ensure optimal functioning and safety for members. Members must use equipment responsibly and report any issues to staff immediately. Any misuse resulting in damage may incur a repair or replacement fee.
11. Member Conduct
STEAM Studio promotes a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment. Disruptive behavior, misuse of equipment, or violation of community guidelines may lead to termination of membership privileges.
12. Media and Content Usage
- Members grant STEAM Studio the right to photograph or record sessions for promotional materials. Members who do not wish to be photographed must notify the studio in writing.
- Members retain rights to any projects and intellectual property they create, with SNRGX as a co-owner when applicable, allowing both parties the right to showcase and utilize creations for educational and promotional purposes.
13. Liability and Disclaimers
Participation in STEAM Studio activities is voluntary, and members assume all risks associated with using equipment and participating in workshops. STEAM Studio is not responsible for any personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property while participating in studio activities.
14. Privacy and Data Protection
STEAM Studio respects members' privacy and will collect and store personal information solely for membership management, communication, and record-keeping. Personal data will not be shared with third parties without consent, except as required by law.
15. Modification of Terms
STEAM Studio reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions, with prior notice, to adapt to changing needs or requirements. Any changes will be communicated to members, and continued membership constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
